40 STYLE NOTES SHELBY HODGE THINKS FALL. PHOTOGRAPHY JENNY ANTILL CLIFTON. T he fusion of fashion and philanthropy has never put on a prettier face than with Catwalk, the cocktail dinner fête ben- efitting A Shelter for Cancer Families. Beyond the richly textured and au- tumn-hued Etro fall collection on the catwalk at The Astorian, the glamorous couples chairing the evening contributed equally fetching verve to the evening. High fives for Nicole and Evan Katz, Carolyn and Chris Dodson and Kitty and Lex Hochner, who continued the longstanding tradition of young and beautiful support for the nonprofit founded by Missy Bellinger. The night was a balance between sublime and serious, with New York-based comedian and cancer sur- vivor Erik Bergstrom providing notes of levity before the parade of honored cancer survivor families. The evening's special guest, courtesy Tenenbaum Jewelers, was Lucrezia Buccellati Wildenstein of the famed jewelry family. River Oaks District — home to the local Etro boutique — joined the Italian fashion house in hosting the magical fund-raiser.
