Winter Wonderland, Tented Splendor and Plenty of Sparkle: Tenenbaum & Co.'s Timeless Holiday Soirée Kevin Black Tony Bradfield MEGAN PRUITT WINDER ADMIRES THE ROCKS, FLUTE IN HAND. PHOTOGRAPHY FULTON DAVENPORT AND MIKE CHARLTON. Platinum Night, Diamond Setting T enenbaum & Co. celebrated the holiday season with a glittering, timeless evening where all things sparkled. From the white lights of the party decor to the pedigreed jewels by Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, David Webb, Buccellati, Bulgari and more, the carpet was rolled out for bright lights of the Houston social scene. And who knows glamorous, jaw-dropping jewels better than Kevin Black and Tony Bradfield, owners of this classic luxury estate jeweler. The evening, with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres crafted by Tony's, brought out many of Houston's sparkling personalities toasting the luxe purveyor of jewels: Lynn Wyatt, Joan Lyons, John Mecom with Lynda Horton, Stuart Folkes, Julie Crosswell, Elizabeth Suffield, Marilyn Elliott, Barbara and Bill Easter, Martha Adger with brother John Adger, Jerry Ann and Victor Costa, Joann and Bill Crassas, Randa and Ray Gilliam, Mark Janda, Lacy Baird with daughter Stella, Brent Grelle, Albert Rubio, Kathryn and Jeff Smith, Marguerite Swartz, Walid Zouari, Angel Rios, gallerists Ron Gremillion and Brian Freeze, Thomas Gonzales, Shannon Hall, Fady Armanious, Michael Kemper, Brian Teichman, art advisor Mary Lou Swift, and David Taylor. Party query: If you could own any famous jewel in the world, which would it be? Lynn Wyatt: "One well-known friend of mine once told me, 'I love my jewels so much I could sleep with them.' That's not me. Suffice it to say I love all forms of true beauty, and that certainly includes outstanding jewels with high-quality, a sense of style and timelessness." Tony Bradfield: "The Duchess of Windsor's diamond-andsapphire 1949 Panthère pin by Cartier, which started a jewelry fashion trend for feline bijoux." Joann Crassas: "A very large pearl that was found in Asia that my Dad used to tell me he would get for me one day … and yes, I've admired and appreciated jewelry from a very young age." Kevin Black: "The Star of the South pink diamond. Weighing in at 128.48 carats, it was found in Brazil in 1853 by a slave who was awarded freedom for A timeless evening at Tenenbaum & Co. her discovery. We have a 6.65-carat diamond of the same pink color, which is really large, so I can't imagine owning a 128.48 version!"
