66 WEDDINGS F ashion + Art combine. Chris Goins, general manager of retail for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Josh Pazda, director of Hiram Butler Gallery, met while doing good: at a fund-raiser for Workshop Houston. Eight years later, during a Manhattan jaunt, over a nightcap and a roaring fire, Pazda popped the question via a series of collaged cards that he had designed. It was therefore fated that the intimate wedding would happen in New York. A garden and atrium at the West Village restaurant Palma was the site of the noon ceremony, which segued into a midday cocktail hour spilling from the front of the restaurant onto Cornelia Street. Guests returned to the atrium for a seated luncheon, with plenty of toasts, led off by gallerist Hiram Butler and art collector Bill Lassiter. Wedding Planner: Katie Mecsics at Palma restaurant, NYC. The Bride Wore: Costarellos from Harrods London, with custom earrings by Grainne Morton, Edinburgh, Scotland. Hair: Casey Clay, Shyn Salon, Houston. The Groom Wore: Stone-blue linen suit by Havana, with hand-dyed violet necktie by Kathrine Zeren, Houston. The Rings: Matching bands in rose gold by ILA, Ila and Vikas Sodhani, Houston. Invitations: Alexandra Schwenke/Mesh by Alex. Officiator: Goins' godmother, Noel Brennan, a New York federal judge. Vows: The couple emerged from Palma's carriage house together, rather than having the bride walk down the aisle. They wrote their own vows. The groom's began with "Apples, peaches, pumpkin pie …" and the crowd erupted in laughter. Ring Bearer/Flower Girl: Lila Zrno. C a k e : N i n e C a k e s , B r o o k l y n . Flowers: Liza Lubell/Peartree Flowers, Brooklyn. Artful Gift: Photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders surprised the couple with a wedding portrait. "It was thrilling to stand in front of Timothy's camera in the very same space that so many of our heroes have been photographed over decades," the groom says. Happily Ever After: Honeymoon TBD!
