For t y Five Ten's flagship store incorporates museum-qualit y ar t as par t of the shopping experience. Do you have a favorite piece? I love how we integrate fashion, ar t, and design. We're so luck y to be a collecting store; it's a beautiful and inspiring place to shop. An original Bansk y is our newest addition, but I have to say the Jose Dávila sculptures on the first floor are my personal favorites. The store's café, No Aloha, is an ar t work unto itself. How did it come about? No Aloha is the quick , casual counterpoint to our penthouse-level restaurant, Mirador. We wanted it to be a fun, inviting place to grab a bite while shopping, so we commissioned contemporar y ar tist Katherine Bernhardt to paint it—floor to ceiling—with the color ful imager y she's known for: toucans, flowers, fruits, cigaret tes… The ar t work has even extended to a line of exclusive ceramics used in the café. You can purchase them, too! Do you have a favorite dish at Mirador? I love the new chopped kale salad with avocado and manchego. Kale salads are so light and nutritious; this is why they are ubiquitous in L . A .— the per fect fashion girl lunch! Speaking of fashion—what are you most excited about this fall? We have so many amazing pieces coming in from The Row, Prada, CELINE, Dries Van Noten, Jil Sander, Saint Laurent… There's a lot of newness with our emerging designers, too, including Eller y, Sies Marjan, Rosie Assoulin, and Khaite. I'm also excited to debut For t y Five Ten Vintage, K R I S T E N C O L E P R E S I D E N T A N D C H I E F C R E A T I V E O F F I C E R F O R T Y F I V E T E N D A L L A S 1 6 1 5 M A I N S T R E E T 2 1 4 . 5 5 9 . 4 5 1 0 C O M P L I M E N T A R Y V A L E T A T 1 6 0 8 E L M S T R E E T a new curated designer categor y, which we originally launched in New York and will soon be sharing in our other stores. For t y Five Ten recently added floral to its of ferings. What inspired this move? It was a natural extension to what we do—a beautiful extra for clients' homes and public spaces. (We do the florals for The Joule and its extended family of restaurants, including Americano, CBD Provisions, Sasset ta, and Mirador.) Like all things For t y Five Ten, our signature florals are ar t ful and unexpected. Any exclusive launches or special moments coming up in store? We have exclusives launching all the time! I suggest following us on Instagram to stay in the know. I love the exclusive ultraviolet lipstick we created with La Bouche Rouge. For art lovers, we have an amazing L'Objet x Haas Brothers collaboration in store now. On the third fl oor, we have a featured Gucci space and in October, we're launching The Row store-in-store. That alone will be worth making a day of it in Dallas. D O W N T O W N B O U N D Have you been to downtown Dallas lately? Forty Five Ten President and Chief Creative Officer, Kristen Cole, shares why it's high time you plan a little shopping excursion.
