76 C had Dorsey opened his design firm last year, and it's been a whirlwind of project commissions, editorial accolades, and awards ever since. He's swept the Dallas PaperCity Design Awards for two years' running, dominating in multiple categories for his interiors projects, including this year's top award for residential interior design under 3,500 square feet, for his own home in Forest Hills. HE'S A NATURAL have been splashed across the pages of numerous publications this fall, including a Bluffview residence showcased in the October issue of Interiors, the coveted international magazine for the residential design trade. Dorsey's Hamptons-inspired house in North Dallas graces the holiday issue of Traditional Home this month, and a Bohemian-inspired bedroom he designed for The Hampton Designer Showhouse, which closed in September, is slated for Traditional Home's 2020 summer issue. Dorsey's winning project in the Dallas PaperCity Design Awards will appear in the January 2020 issue. As if he didn't have enough on his plate, Dorsey also opened a satellite office in Los Angeles over the summer. Most recently, he's ventured into retail, creating a showroom within his new 2,500-square- foot design studio in the Dallas Design District, which opened last month during Texas Design Week Dallas. The retail space is open to the public and packs a lot of punch, with Dorsey's custom furnishings and favorite hard-to-find furniture and accessories collections from around the globe.
