20 letter editor JONATHAN ZIZZO I t has been just six months since PaperCity Fort Worth made its debut (see the parties on pages 36 and 37 to witness the splash for yourself). Now we're back with a second deliciously glossy issue focusing on this dynamic city, and with some big news of our own, too: We'll be adding a third Fort Worth edition this year, so look for us on stands again in September and at the holidays. In between, keep up on the latest in Fort Worth style and culture at, where our online team is breaking news every day. We also have, as they say, some personal news: I'm making a Fort Worth debut of my own with this issue, having taken over the editor in chief post from the terrific Christina Geyer earlier this year. (Christina has gone on to help Macy's reinvent retail for the 21st century — you'll want to read about that on page 24; it includes some long-awaited news on the WestBend development.) I also want to introduce you to Caitlin Clark, our new digital editorial director for Fort Worth and Dallas. If you're as obsessed about restaurants, real estate, and style as I am, you'll love her coverage online at and in these pages as well. As for me, I was restaurant critic at the Dallas Morning News and an editor at the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Robb Report before that. I'm thrilled to be back in magazines, and particularly to be working with talent such as Rebecca Sherman, who covers home and design like no one else in North Texas, including this month's feature on influencer Judy Aldridge's two fabulously eccentric residences in Trophy Club (page 72). And I could not have dreamed up a better ally than Billy Fong, whose title of culture and style editor doesn't begin to describe his wizardry with social coverage and generosity of spirit — you'll get an idea of that when you read about his epic lunch with Cornelia Guest, the New York socialite and brand-new Texas transplant (page 42). Would she have told anyone but Billy that she bathes with her pet duck? I doubt it! Caitlin and I may have missed the first round of Fort Worth parties, but you can be sure we'll be there for the next ones. Not that we want to wait until then to meet all of you … Please drop me a line at and tell me what you enjoyed about this issue, what you'd like to see in the next one, and what you love most about Fort Worth. We're in a dynamic phase of our own here at PaperCity, too, and you, our readers, are the most important part of it. Michalene Busico Dallas + Fort Worth editor in chief
