OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. 28 F ort Worth's newest wellness retreat comes by way of two women on a mission. In a modest bungalow on the edge of the West Beyer neighborhood, certified nutritionist Dabney Poorter and family nurse practitioner Taylor Dukes have opened Restore + Revive Wellness Center, offering services far beyond the usual bodywork and aesthetic treatments of a spa. "We want to look at everything holistically," Poorter says. The interiors, designed by Forth Worth's Maven, evoke a true escape, with soothing colors and clean lines. Treatments range from infrared saunas and ionic foot soaks to nutrition counseling, food sensitivity testing, and physical therapy. Classes include Pilates, TRX + Yoga, and HIIT metabolic workouts. "At the end of the day, we want to improve people's quality of life and not just give them a pill," Dukes says. Restore + Revive Wellness Center, 5001 Byers Ave., Fort Worth, restoreandrevivefw.com. Rachael Lindley T his April, Auberge Resorts Collection opens its first urban retreat at Austin's Commodore Perry Estate, an architectural gem listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With entertaining in mind and working with architect Henry Bowers Thompson, Commodore Edgar and Lutie Perry built the 10,800-square- foot Italian Renaissance Revival walled estate in Austin in 1928 at the height of the Jazz Age. In its transformation into a resort and private club, with 42 rooms, 12 suites, and a restaurant, Auberge enlisted San Francisco designer Ken Fulk as creative director. Fulk worked with Moule & Polyzoides Architects & Urbanists from Pasadena, California, and Austin design firm Clayton & Little to restore the mansion, chapel, and carriage house. Austin's Ten Eyck Landscape Architects transformed the lush 10 acres. Opening April 2020, Commodore Perry Estate, aubergeresorts.com/commodoreperry. That's why the French fashion brand's latest product will be as coveted as a Birkin bag — at a much more accessible price point. After 183 years, Hermès introduces a new mètier: La Beauté Hermès. Yes, one lipstick, in 24 hues, with its own accessories (lip-care balm, Poppy lip shine, universal lip pencil, and a lip brush). And this took a French village: Bali Barret, artistic director of Women's Universe; Pierre Hardy, creative director of shoes, fine jewelry, and Haute Bijouterie, and designer of beauty objects; and Jérôme Touron, creative director of beauty. The architectural, vividly lacquered, brushed and polished metal refillable case closes with a satisfying magnetic click, and is finished off with the old- world Hermès Ex-Libris seal engraved on the cap. The lipsticks come in two finishes: an ultra-pigmented matte finish inspired by the trademark Doblis leather and a satin finish reminiscent of Box leather. Three of the 24 perfectly pigmented shades are emblematic of the house: Rogue Casaque, Orange Boîte, and Rouge H. This initial offering from La Beauté Hermès hits beauty counters Wednesday, March 4. La Beauté Hermès lipstick $68, refills $42, at the Hermès boutique.
