Mardi Gras Madness at The Tremont House, St. Thomas KIM COFFMAN, KIM CHRISTENSEN PHOTOGRAPHY Chloe Jester, Barrett Lauer at St. Thomas T he 29th Mardi Gras Ball, Waltz Across Texas, drew more than 550 revelers to the historical Tremont House in Galveston for live rockabilly, jazz and swing entertainment, plus premier viewing of the Momus Grand Night Parade. Enjoying les bons temps: hotel owner George Mitchell, Tiziana and Grant Mitchell, hotel GM Steve Cunningham, Travis Wayne, and Bill Ross. Back in Houston, the University of St. Thomas' 63rd Annual Mardi Gras Gala honored the Franciscan Sisters and their impact on the campus community. More than 400 guests raised $800,000 to help fund university scholarships.
