M aster sommelier G u y S t o u t c h a l l e n g e d those attending t h e H o u s t o n S y m p h o n y Wine Dinner & Collector's Auction to a blind tasting that pitted two French wines against two from California — a playful revisiting of the 1976 Judgment of Paris where, in a blind tasting, an American wine prevailed. The evening was right up the alley of wine afi cionados Valerie and Tracy Dieterich, who co-chaired the dinner on stage at Jones Hall with Carolyn Faulk and Pat Studdert. Recognized wine master Robert Sakowitz served as honorary chair, while yet another connoisseur, Bob Weiner, held the reins as collector's auction chair. Tony's provided the French-inspired dinner, while The Events Company transformed the stage into a Parisian street scene.
