SHOOTING STAR N othing thrills us more than a new men's fragrance — and Météore, the latest scent from Louis Vuitton, is a worldly addition. Created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud at his atelier in Grasse, the scent promises to "arouse fascination all along its path" and transform space into time to reveal new horizons. Heady stuff. The sixth scent in the Parfums Louis Vuitton collection, it's a mix of Calabrian bergamot, mandarin, Sicilian orange, and neroli with a trio of peppers, cardamom, nutmeg, and an earthy finishing note of Java vetiver. This is exactly what I — a lover of both fine fragrances and the study of the cosmos — have been missing in my life. $265, refill $165, at select Louise Vuitton boutiques, louisvuitton.com. Louis Vuitton's new Météore men's fragrance THE NEXT CHAPTER F orced to work in isolation due to COVID-19, the house of Schiaparelli presented a short film and a series of sketches for this season's haute couture collection. The fashion house is led by Texas-born artistic director Daniel Roseberry, who for 10 years was director of fashion at Thom Browne; the film shows Roseberry sketching from a park bench in Washington Square Park in Manhattan. Those sketches became the foundation of the 2020 Haute Couture collection and represent the designer's vision for the future. The drawings, presented on the Schiaparelli website, will be available on a made- to-order basis later this fall. See them at schiaparelli.com. T he collaboration continues: Maison Margiela and Berlin eyewear maker Mykita have launched their latest eyewear collection, Mykita + MM6 Maison Margiela. The special-edition takes its cue from Margiela's MM6 AW20 collection, with an oversized sunshield (lens) paired with a straight frame fashioned from Mykita's proprietary Mylon material. Thanks to 3D manufacturing, the result is a sleek, ultra-lightweight pair of sunglasses that merges high-tech materials and manufacturing with old-world sex appeal. Available in white, nude, black, and blue, at maisonmargiela. com, mykita.com. MORETHAN MEETS THE EYE Mykita +MM6 Maison Margiela sunglasses, $505. 47
