LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN Jim Kastleman I t's about to get hot out here. Those who attended the Fall Show felt the energy of pent-up demand. Demand to get out of the house, and demand to spend money that wasn't used for summer vacations, summer camp, etc. If nesting in your home during the COVID era was the thing to do, Round Top was/is the place to find the feathers for your nest. Antiques, architectural salvage, design objects, art, craft — everything for the home, really. The Fall and Winter Shows offered a mostly outdoor, COVID-conscious, safe experience, full of crowd energy. With the downward trend in the pandemic, the Spring Show will be hot. For those who have never experienced the Antiques Show, the energy in the country is electric. Wander from venue to venue, spend time in the shops and restaurants, eat and drink, listen to some music. Join the crowds, or sit back and watch them. We've been busy at Round Top Publishers. Aside from transforming the Round Top Magazine and roundtop.com, we've tuned up this guide. Our digital team has been working hard to tie the guide information found online into an easy- to-use app. Whether it's an app or just the website you use, it will be mobile friendly and come in very handy in the field. We're also in the middle of our transformation of our World HQ — a five-acre venue now named The Halles. There are some dealers who were previously showing at the site, and we've invited a whole host of folks who have never shown out here too. Weather has not been our friend during the short period we had for the remodeling process; we hope that by the time the show starts, you'll be able to see at least some of the design changes we've programmed.
