P e r e n n i a l s f o u n d e r Ann Sutherland and husband David Sutherland celebrated P e r e n n i a l s a n d Sutherland's sponsorship of the new Halles venue with a rustic afternoon happy hour during the Spring Antiques Show. Green and blue Perennials fabrics draped the tables, which were topped with locally grown flowers from Serracínna floral design studio in Austin. Urban Cowboy Southern Fusion served crispy fried quail topped with agave and thyme, street corn, brisket, and Round Top beverage: ranch water. In the crowd: Autumn Mohon with husband Marcus and mother- in-law Manon Mohon, Kathryn Kelley, Chad Dorsey, Debra Sabrsula in a darling peacock- embroidered top, Kelly Sanford, Betty Melton, Peg Richardson, Ruby Lane's Alex Gardner, Amy Williams, Jordan Murphy, Kim Ridley, Lauren Carr, and Kerri McCulloch. There was also a surprise visit from internationally known antiques appraiser Leigh Keno and his son, Brandon, who spent the day seeking out treasures at the show. Guests departed with tote bags made of Perennials fabrics and filled with goodies including a jar of Pirate Pickles (a huge hit), Perennials placemats, and Topo Chico. Over at The Compound, Brennan's chefs Carl Walker and Joey Chavez curated a gourmet dining experience, in an evening cleverly billed as Groovin' at the Grove. Under a tent decked with twinkling lights, craft cocktails flowed and culinary creations were served. The night wrapped to the vintage tunes, '50s through '90s, performed by Cool Freddie E & The Crew. Among the groovy guests: Joan and Jerry Herring, Fayette County Judge Joe Weber and wife Brenda, Susan and Fred Massey, Sally and Norman Reynolds, and Katie Stavinoha.
