ROB McAVOY Van Cliburn Foundation's Golden Anny Mercedes Bass, Van Cliburn Ann Hudson A Perrier-Jouët sabrage toast was the perfect way to rouse excitement among more than 800 Van Cliburn Foundation patrons during the organization's 50 Years celebration at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Worldrenowned pianist Van Cliburn himself made a toast, and young performer Lewis Warren Jr. tickled the ivories before guests danced the night away to music by The Starlight Experience. Members of the party orchestra included chairman Carla Kemp Thompson, Elizabeth and Russel Fleischer, Scottie and Harry Bartel, and Mary Alice and John Giordano.
