FIRST LOOK'S TWO X TWO NEW LOOK T he 2021 edition of TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art's First Look had a new location, but many of the faces were familiar, mingling with some new ones, many from the West Coast. In the past, the Thursday-night affair (which precedes the gala by two days and serves as First Look at the artworks to be auctioned at the gala) was always held at the Rachofsky House. This year, guests found themselves at Highland Park Village for First Look, where a portion of the parking lot was magically transformed by Todd Fiscus and his Todd Events team. Well-heeled guests previewed a selection of the 130 works of art and luxury items to be auctioned at the 22nd annual gala on Saturday evening. My date for the evening was one of my dearest friends, my hairstylist Joshua Rossignol. He went head-to-toe Thom Browne; I opted to be a little edgier with Prada. (Even though I knew it might cool down that night, I decided to hold back on premiering myself in long pants for the fall/winter season). As in years past, a carnival-like wall with punch holes offered guests a shot at myriad prizes provided by the luxury retailers in the Village. I told Lisa Runyon to blow on my hands in that ever so chic Vegas way and wish me luck — I'd been told that there was a gorgeous Tom Ford weekend bag in one of those circles. I childishly enjoyed the innuendos whenever another guest discussed getting their hole punched (giggling incessantly). You see, one of the games of the evening was for guests to visit each of the participating luxury boutiques with a card that was then marked. At the end of the party, all completed cards were thrown in a clear vitrine, and the winner of a $10,000 Village gift card was drawn. It couldn't have gone to a better fashionista: Cindy Schwartz.
