There's a Dior helicopter — but we've already covered that. So, you may well ask yourself: Why not work out with what we love, too? Luxury French house Dior has teamed with Italian sports- equipment maker Technogym to launch a limited-edition collection of D esigner, architect, and artist Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios participated in Design Miami/Basel this fall with The Elevator — his fourth installation for Design Miami/ Curio, but his first work for the Swiss edition. For the September fair in Basel, he installed metallic, parametric furniture in a small space reminiscent of an elevator. Nuriev notes that many see the elevator as "a transitory space, people going in and out, nothing more. For me, it's a metaphor for traveling to different layers of space, reality, and consciousness." Nuriev has a knack for breaking big ideas down into a simple and relatable core and surprising you with a less-is-more approach. Sculptural, futuristic, and always a touch playful, his work will be represented at Design Miami this month with a brand-new installation. FENDI X SKIMS L ast month, Fendi — under direction of the man with the golden touch, Kim Jones — launched a collaboration with SKIMS and Kim Kardashian West. The Fendi X SKIMS capsule draws on archival designs from Karl Lagerfeld's 1979 collection for the brand, focusing on twisted tube tops, poppy colors, and tight sashes. This is past meets present, shapewear given a makeover. From bodysuits to underwear, knitwear to dresses, it's about putting things in their right place, because we can all use a hand from time to time. fendiskims.com.
