Don't forget the tents by the main pavilion, where you'll find Pure West by Cheryl Long, Nashville Makers with custom millinery by A. Botts Willis (in the hat trailer) and her accomplished band of makers including White Rabbit Collective, Three Wolves Trading, and Rank and Sugar. Finally, bask in public art — Alton DuLaney's cheeky Art signage may just stop you in your tracks, while marine conservation painter, sculptor, and installationist Janavi Mahimtura Folmsbee lures us into her underwater kingdom. The Halles is the official drop- off site for Brenham Tour & Coach bus services. Finally, an attractive new paved footpath makes it possible for you to conveniently stroll between The Halles and The Arbors, two neighboring venues. Exciting happenings at The Halles: Saturday, October 22, 5 wave. The gallery features founder Christopher Martin's ongoing "Solaris Disc Collection" of reverse-painted acrylic panels inspired by both marble and petrified wood; Steve Wrubel's dramatic photographic odes to horse and rider; the environmentally inspired photography of the earth's surface by Kevin Krautgartner; majestic big African cats captured by Mital Patel; Monica Perez's emotionally charged black-and-white abstracts; and Ysabel LeMay's hyperreal floral photographic collages seemingly plucked from paradise. Halle 5 offers another member of the art wave: Austin and NYC dealer West Chelsea Contemporary fills its space with works by the iconic painter and preservationist, museum-collected Hunt Slonem. Also in West Chelsea's booth, acquire works by a trio of rising street artists: Mila Sketch, Ash Almonte, and Cody Hooper. Finally, don't miss WCC's ultra-cool Gift Shop, to 7 pm, attend the West Chelsea Contemporary Cocktail Mixer in Halle 5 (gratis; public invited), followed 7 to 9 pm by Royers and Prisoner Wine Ticketed Dinner in the main pavilion. Another gourmet evening follows on Sunday, October 23, 7 to 9 pm, with A Fare Extraordinaire's Ticketed Dinner in the main pavilion. Tuesday, October 25, 5 to 8 pm, The Halles debuts the lively Sip & Shop pop-up featuring fashion and jewelry from this celebrated cast of vendors: Creativo Concept, Kimono Zulu (including a new collaboration with nonprofit Magpies & Peacocks), La Lo La Clothing, Lady Lancaster, Laura Elizabeth Jewelry, Modern Marla, Royal Nomad Jewelry, The Frock Shop, and Together Segal. The public is invited; this festive free shopping night includes complimentary cocktails courtesy of Halles sponsors MyDrinkBomb and DASH Vodka with full cash bar from Crown Halles.
