Kylian Can't stop loving You: This floral perfume celebrates love, with orange blossom at its heart, followed by jasmine and honey. Light and summery, it can be worn day or night. This is a happy yet mysterious scent, with rather complicated notes that provide surprising balance. 50ml refillable perfume $275, at bykilian.com. Gris Dior: A new classic unisex eau de parfum marketed towards a new generation, Gris Dior is an intense chypre fragrance falling between woody and floral. We see it as a future signature. 4.25-ounce eau de parfum spray $330, at dior.com. Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill: LV's latest fragrance features top notes of peppermint, orange, black currant, lemon, and coriander — inspired by healthy vibes and detoxifying juices omnipresent along the California coast, with packaging to match by contemporary artist Alex Israel. It's crafted as a pick-me- up to introduce a detox-like effect as you make your way into the heart of summer. 100ml eau de parfum $300, 200 ml eau de parfum $430, at the Louis Vuitton boutique, louisvuitton.com. Loewe Aire Anthesis: The newest member of the Loewe Aire family of fragrances, Anthesis C hanel is launching their new flagship boutique in Beverly Hills. The high-profile location and project are designed by architect Peter Marino, longtime collaborator with the house and designer of boutiques for a who's who of fashion clients. The architect's journey reads like an architectural fairy tale. Hired by Jed Johnson in 1978 to renovate his and Andy Warhol's Manhattan townhome, Marino rose to prominence through commissions with artists and European aristocracy. In the mid-'80s, retailer Barneys New York hired him to design their first women's retail store, which led to his designing 17 freestanding locations for the brand and put Marino in touch with numerous fashion designers, whose boutiques he would later design. Rebuilt from the ground up, the new Chanel store spans more than 30,000 square feet and is the largest in the U.S. The abstracted exterior evokes a staggered cube, cleaved by a multi-story glass atrium of white crystallized glass. Interior details abound. The pure white space uses natural stone and metal — cast bronze, gray wave stone — alongside woven textiles, thin vitrines, and glass cases to display goods. Low tables in petrified wood and resin by Ado Chale and Jean-Claude Dresse sit under Goossens rock- crystal chandeliers. The courtyard provides a green space and allows for all rooms to receive natural light via floor-to-ceiling windows. Upper levels are connected by an atrium staircase that leads to a rooftop garden and penthouse. Along the way, design treasures can be found. Black-and-gold lacquered Japanese Kurodana cabinets from the Edo period and a pair of Tweed lamps by Delos & Ubiedo speak to the house tastes preferred by Coco Chanel. At the staircase end is the rooftop space, sporting black-framed aluminum trellises that outline the city's iconic Case Study Houses and connect with the penthouse, a cherry on top with views of the garden courtyard, Rodeo Drive, Brighton Way, and the iconic hills above.
