D allas Design District: Many exciting new to-the-trade design showrooms have opened or are slated to open. Thibaut's new 5,000-square- foot showroom, the fifth for the brand and its largest location, opened earlier this year, showcasing fabric, wallpaper, trim, and furniture. Founded in 1886, Thibaut is the oldest continuously operating wallpaper company in the U.S. … In November, look for American textile manufacturer Cowtan & Tout to open its first freestanding showroom in Dallas after decades of representation through Culp Associates. The 5,000-square-foot showroom will encompass the brand's five textile lines under one roof: Colefax and Fowler, Cowtan & Tout, Jane Churchill, Larsen, and Manuel Canovas … Greenwich, Connecticut-based Oomph Home — known for brightly colored, high- gloss lacquer furniture, custom upholstery, lighting, outdoor, and accessories — shares a showroom with Quadrille and China Seas in the Dallas Design Center. All furniture is American-made and can be customized … Phillip Jeffries, which launched its family-run wallcovering company 40 years ago with 10 grasscloth wallpapers, opens its first Dallas showroom in the near future after years of representation through David Sutherland Showroom. Elsewhere in the city: Mainly Baskets, purveyor of chic rattan and wicker furnishings, has opened a showroom in the Gallery at the Interior Home + Design Center. The brand's owner, Robyn Bailey, has brokered recent collaborations with designers Caitlin Wilson and Sarah Bartholomew, among others … In November, look for Frontgate to relocate to Dallas' Preston Royal Village from Plano, where it opened in 2017. The new 9,443-square-foot store will carry furniture, accessories, holiday and pool decor, and features an indoor-outdoor atrium and design studio. B eloved Los Angeles-based interior and furniture designer, antiquarian, and writer Rose Tarlow has launched her second collection with Perennials. It's been 10 years in the making; their first collaboration was in 2012. The new collection includes eight handsome patterns that evoke the English countryside with subtle references to nature, such as steppingstones, brambles, and willows. Also new are four flatweave rugs inspired by Tarlow's personal watercolor paintings. All fabrics and rugs are completely customizable.
