D allas interior designer and Strike fireplace founder Chad Dorsey has teamed with Ann Sacks for a series of six stone fireplaces available in a selection of 16 marbles and limestones. Dorsey took inspiration for the collection from his background in architecture and interior and product design, and as with interiors, Dorsey veers towards a narrow color palette, so look for unusual stones in a range of sophisticated whites, grays and blacks. Designs include an Art Deco four-leaf-clover motif, classical fluting and arches, tailored lines, and stepped details, along with an edgy reverse lay-up of squares. The collection features three finishes: honed, for a refined, matte surface; sandblasted, for a slightly distressed effect; and French Quarter, a more intensely distressed finish that brings out the marble's contrasting colors and veining. Dorsey is on a streak, having been recently named the designer for The Knox Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection in Dallas (completion 2026), and his first book will be published by Assouline this fall.
