Who doesn't need an excuse to don a bouclé jacket and grab a flap bag for an evening out. In this case, the invite was for the opening soirée at the newly reimagined two-story boutique in Highland Park Village (in their former footprint below Park House). Designed in partnership with a longtime Chanel collaborator, architect Peter Marino, the 6,500-square-foot space offers fashion, watches, fine jewelry, and an impressive assortment of makeup and skincare products. I first visited the gloriously revamped fashion house a few days prior, after the eclipse party at Park House. A group of girls all feeling fashionably tipsy from Solarinis and Moon- Margs decided that a shopping spree was needed for last-minute items to wear to the Chanel party. The most prized quote from that afternoon came from a recent coastal transplant who, after realizing she already owned many of the current offerings, paused to inquire about a coffee table (more of an art piece) found upstairs.
