ROUND TOP SPONSORED PARTNER INSIDE VIEW: ALL IN THE FAMILY Teressa Foglia and Ty Hays bring new hats, new art and a new addition to Round Top. T o say milliner Teressa Foglia and artist Ty Hays have been busy since the Spring Round Top Antiques & Design Show is an understatement. Amidst designing new hats, creating new art, and traveling the world in search of hat accessories and accouterments, the couple also welcomed their first child over the summer — an event that has inspired a family-friendly focus for the fall show. "We're so excited to bring our daughter to Round Top for her first visit," Foglia says. "She has inspired us to include more family-friendly activities this season, helping kids discover the joy of antiquing, supporting small businesses, and meeting the creative minds behind various brands. It's such an engaging experience for little ones." Teressa, Ty, and baby Eames kick off their fall show events schedule at The Horseshoe Thursday, October 10, with an Art Walk featuring Ty Hays' latest series, "Running Wild," and pieces by other Horseshoe artists on Thursday, October 10. The event showcases Hays' artistic evolution with larger-scale works incorporating fabrics and dynamic new scenes that transport viewers from Southern California to the Rocky Mountains. "Running Wild" is Hays' largest collection to date, in anticipation of a fourth sell-out show. The collection will also be released that day on tyhays.com. On Saturday, October 12, the first-ever Millinery, Mommy & Me Day takes place, featuring arts and crafts, child-centered outdoor activities, music classes, and live music for parents and little ones. Other events include Foglia's Marburger & Mimosas soirée on Marburger Farm Antiques Show opening day. Early shopping begins at 9 am Tuesday, October 15, with live music later in the day. More live music is scheduled Saturday, October 19, and happy hours run daily from October 10 through 26 at the Teressa Foglia barn. "I'm thrilled about the synergy at The Horseshoe this year," Foglia says. "It's truly evolved into one of the top destinations in Round Top, with a carefully curated selection and high expectations from all the brands." Meanwhile, custom hat-making services are offered daily throughout the show. Foglia presents new hat designs in fresh new colors and an array of stunning new millinery shapes. The brand's best- selling hand-dyed indigo hats and new designs from the bespoke Artist Atelier collection will be on hand. Foglia also launches a new label this fall. The Line by Teressa Foglia features classic oversized straw hats and coveted bucket-hat styles in a more accessible price range. All hats can be customized with Foglia's magical collection of bits and bobs from around the globe. "This summer, we sourced materials from Europe, connecting with artisans in Ibiza, Paris, and Hvar," says Foglia. "We've also expanded into more embroidery work, which has been a huge hit, and we're absolutely in love with our Texas bluebonnet hat." Foglia also plans to feature other artists throughout the show, including much-loved jeweler Samantha Knight, who returns to the Teressa Foglia barn Saturday through Wednesday, October 12 through 16, with her latest collection of antique, vintage, and custom fine jewelry. The Teressa Foglia barn at The Horseshoe is open daily October 10 – 26, with a preview weekend happening Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6. The Horseshoe is located at 2105 S. Hwy. 237, Round Top.
