Bennett Donna Arp Weitzman Natalie Taylor, Lauryn Gayle White W HAT: KidneyTexas celebrated the silver anniversary of its Runway Report luncheon and fashion show at Brook Hollow Golf Club with an event whose formula really works. Gather the gals (and a few good men). Meet at Brook Hollow. Grab a glass of champagne and enjoy the show. WHO: Claire Catrino and Kaleta Blaffer Johnson co-chaired this year's event, with Lauryn Gayle White as honorary chair. Presented by Sam and Helga Feldman Foundation and David and Natalie Taylor, the event included awards given to philanthropists for their steadfast devotion to KidneyTexas' mission, including Donna Arp Weitzman (the Sue Goodnight Award), Barbara Bigham (Lifetime Achievement Award), Raymond Quigley, MD (Everson Walls Legacy Award), and Emilynn Wilson and her late husband, Claude Wilson (25th Anniversary Award). AUCTION TAKEAWAY: The always popular live auction featured a custom couture dress from Nardos, a champagne-fueled afternoon of baubles at Bachendorf's, a $2,000 shopping spree at Tootsies, and a cool-girl bomber jacket from Bach Mai. ON THE RUNWAY: The heart of the event is the runway show, produced this year by Jan Strimple, with longtime fashion-show partner Tootsies, as well as St. John, Betty Reiter, and Nardos Design. Jewels from Bachendorf's frosted the models. PROCEEDS: This year's event benefited six local partners — Baylor Scott and White Health Foundation, Children's Medical Center Foundation, Methodist Health System Foundation, National Kidney Foundation/ Camp Reynal, Southwest Transplant Alliance, Texas Health Resources Foundation.
