NOTES LV's latest trunk show Louis Vuitton is known for pushing the envelope. From their choice of inspiring creative directors to expanding the boundaries of fashion, the French fashion house knows how to leave its mark. For the upcoming holiday season, Vuitton has taken it one step further by wrapping the entire facade of the Fifth Avenue flagship store in Manhattan. The 240-foot-tall building now bears the company's signature logo and has been transformed into a series of six trunks — a nod to its heritage and a stunning sight to behold for everyone strolling the famed avenue. Finished with all the accouterments, the building now sports handles (the largest handle weighs 5,000 pounds), signature locks, and silver hardware. In a city where it's almost impossible to stand out, LV has done the impossible. Dior's latest and greatest Heritage brand Dior has launched its first standalone Dior Fragrance & Beauty boutique in North America. The shop in SoHo marks a first for the brand, as it continues to expand into the all-important self-care market. With design touches that echo the Dior boutique adjacent to the new space, expect the brand to keep FASHION a fresh approach for the holiday season, with seasonal updates highlighting new collections and a focus on fragrances and couture lines. The opening act is a tribute to Christian Dior's appreciation of the Château de Versailles, with a gilded motif created by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo that can be seen on both interior walls and special-edition Art of Gifting materials. Loewe brings joy to the season Loewe describes its latest holiday collection as joyful. That's underselling it. The collection, created by the Kyoto-based husband- and-wife ceramicist team known to the art world as Suna Fujita, is truly stunning. A mix of whimsy, surrealism, and sheer beauty, these small objects spark the imagination as playful scenes make their way across the ceramic vessels. From oceans to meadows, creatures interact with one another and the works themselves, bringing the inanimate to life. At the Loewe boutique, loewe.com.
