American Heart Association Goes PAPERCITY PROMOTION Red Women T he American Heart Associ ation is on a journey to change the future of women's health. On Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Fairmont Dallas Hotel, the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Luncheon will educate and empower women while exploring the impact of cardiovascular disease and how the organization is improving and saving lives. In a fireside chat hosted by stroke and heart attack survivor (and social media personality) Dr. ShantaQuilette Carter- Williams, AHA CEO Nancy Brown will address how the Go Red for Women movement — AHA's signature women's initiative — has advanced women's health for more than 20 years. More than $700 million has been raised in more than two decades to fund lifesaving research, advocate for healthier communities, improve patient care, and work for equitable health for all. By advancing equitable research and care, advocating for inclusive health policies, and raising awareness, Go Red for Women is making a difference. As women grow and change, so does their risk for CVD. "I knew I was having a heart attack because I attended the Go Red for Women luncheon and learned that the signs of a heart attack can present differently for women than for men," says Nancy Gopez, a heart attack survivor. "The knowledge I received from the luncheon literally saved my life."
