Outside under the palm trees, lunch or dinner is like a zoo for people watching, and the food is consistently great. I go for the crudo du jour and beef tartare, but there's always their famous chicken … The Blue Door in West Palm is a star for dinner. Fantastic food, great service, covered but open-air dining and great bar. Perfect night, always … And then the truly best places for dinner are the magical invites from the infamous and fabulous Palm Beach hostesses who want you at their table. If you're lucky to score an invite, always say "Yes." It will probably be the best night you've had in a long time. Hotel. The Colony — just what you would expect in Palm Beach. Perfect location to town and to the beach. Cocktails. Harry's in West Palm is great for happy hour. Amazing people watching … The outside bar at The Colony before or after dinner … E.R. Bradley's is a massive open-air tiki sports bar on the water in Palm Beach by the marina. Day trip. Taking a ride on the Brightline train from West Palm south to Fort Lauderdale or Miami, especially during Art Basel [the renowned sister fair to the Basel Switzerland June fair, which takes place on Miami Beach each December]. Or up to Orlando and Disney for the day. Definitely book the premium cabin. Not to miss. Take a morning walk on the Lake Trail — it runs along the Intracoastal, and you can see great gardens and architecture if you peek through the bushes. Sunday Bingo at The Colony Hotel (sit outside at one of the lounge areas) and a visit to the Norton Museum of Art or The Society of the Four Arts. Souvenir. A great tan.
