A dd to your Winter Show shopping Cisco Village, founded by the late furniture maker Cisco Pinedo of the handcrafted furniture empire Cisco Home; The 550 District, home to Rockabilly Baroness' collectible ranch wear; and The Halles, now upping its game with a permanent showroom for the heralded Texas brand Double D Ranch, complete with boot selection. Also permanent at The Halles: Steve Wrubel Gallery, showcasing the artist's bronc-bustin' Rodeo series, paired with a curated space presenting Texas Artists Today, which debuts Julia McLaurin's cheeky take on Pop-art food (Whataburger!) rendered in clay. Seventeen more venues join these listed above to be open during Winter Show (as well as Spring and Fall): Bayberry's Antiques and Bill Moore Antiques Warehouse (Burton); Big Red Barn and County Line (Carmine); Blue Hills, Gasoline Hill & Antiques, Maison Sud, McLaren's Antiques & Interiors, The Horsehoe, and The Venue (Round Top); and Bar W Field, Campbell Building, Chicken Ranch, Ex-Cess I & II, Granny McCormick's Yard, The Stone Meadow, and The W Venue (Warrenton). Foodie Faves Year-round restaurants in tiny Round Top are exceptional (Lulu's, Boon & Co, Mandito's Tex-Mex, Royers Round Top Cafe, Duo Modern at Market Hill, The Garden Co., Merritt Meat Company, Round Top Brewing, The Stone Cellar, and The Jon Perez Lounge at The 550 District, and Popi Burger), but during show time — even the four-day Winter Show — the expanded culinary scene runs the gamut from friendly food trucks to white-tablecloth dining. Cue Garden & Gun magazine's Après Antiques Dinner, returning to town Saturday, January 25, staged by Explore Charleston at historic Windy Knoll Farm. Houston chef Aaron Bludorn of Michelin-recommended Bludorn and Navy Blue will prepare a multi-course dinner with wine pairings (tickets $200, gardenandgun.com). Square Dance + Year-Round Action Much of the life of Round Top year-round revolves around the three town squares — Henkel, Rolland, and Minden — and town center, all terrific stops during the Winter Show. At Henkel Square, check out the chic redux of Sapana, the source for rich textiles of India curated by owner Jolie Helms. Don't leave Henkel without popping by Humble Donkey for artist John Lowery's folksy take on Texas flora and fauna. Steps away, Round Top Antiques & Design Center is home to 14 dealers, including recent arrivals Lions Antiques, specializing in antique doors and reclaimed building materials, and Rick Ingenthron Antiques' distinctive European finds. Also recommended is Minden Square for a cold one and delightful bites at nanobrewery and taphouse Round Top Brewing. Rolland Square is a good bet for caffeine, thanks to Round Top Coffee Shop, and holds the dining destination The Garden Co. – Feed & Firewater, which boasts a tree- lined patio and classic vistas. Finally, don't miss at Minden Stash by Curate for Texas- crafted leather goods. Also worth visiting and always open year-round are: the expansive home-goods source Paul Michael Company at Market Hill; The 303, a hub for vintage Western fashion plus upcycled pieces by anchor retailer Worn & Weathered; and Round Top Village, a modern development with a mix of imported home decor via Courtney Barton, jewelry by Richard Schmidt, vintage finds at Cottonseed Trading Company, luxury scented candles by Bella's Candles, art and home from Tré by Clemencia, and fashion by Heidi Houston.
