R ound Top, Texas, baby … what can we say, it's become the Met Ball of interior design and vintage. We put on our trusty old cowboy boots while the best of the best vintage dealers set up booths and tents in fields and barns, selling some of the most amazing vintage pieces you will ever find from all corners of the world. And then we shop till we drop. Leanne Ford and Grace Mitchell Where to eat, where to drink, and what to do: Bader Ranch: An amazing spot for great finds, as well as food and cocktails. Boon & Co: We like to come here and share all sorts of plates. Make sure you don't pass on dessert — the brownie cookie combo with vanilla ice cream is our favorite. Junk Gypsy and Wander Inn: Now, these ladies know how to have a good time. If you happen to be there while they're hosting Prom, do yourself a favor and grab tickets ASAP. And, yes, you will want to get all dressed up. People go all out for this! Lady Elaine: Incredible tacos and margaritas, and Frosé all day. Chances are, you'll find us here at sunset. Lulu's: Feels silly to admit it, but it's become a daily meal for us — breakfast, lunch, or dinner. La Petite Dame: Truly wonderful people and an even prettier space. Order a cocktail or glass of wine at the bar, snag a bistro table with your friends, and sit back and enjoy your evening surrounded by beautiful French treasures. Prost on Block 29: The best wine and pizza in town. Grab a seat around the fire and get to know the locals. 'Round the Round: Our vintage Round Top farmhouse and home away from home, which we've listed on Hostie, so that you can stay there, too! Round Top Festival Institute: Catch a concert here. What more can a girl ask for? Round Top Family Library: Yoga classes are held in the main library Mondays at 5 pm with instructors and Wednesdays at 9 am. Royers Cafe: Yes, the pie is worth the hype! Grab a slice — or, heck, get the whole darn pie! Round Top seems to have no start and no finish. This place is endless; you could spend weeks there and still not see everything. But here you have it: our go-to vendor list: Amelia Tarbet: One of the best collections of modern art, lamps, furniture, and vessels. While everything is fresh and modern, there's still a certain warmth to it. Every time we walk in here, our wheels immediately start turning. Antiques & Vintage: Another great spot for salvaged doors. We bought the double doors that open up to the bathtub at our 'Round the Round farmhouse here and just love 'em. Architectural Artifacts: We always manage to find the most amazing, oversized pieces from Stu — including the wood table and marble bathtub in our 'Round the Round farmhouse. Another source for more traditional pieces that live well in modern spaces. Bader Ranch: European treasures that will make your heart beat faster. Cyril Clerc: Mid-century modern with European flair — say no more! East End Salvage: The perfect stop before you start any renovation to add soul to your home. Gorgeous furniture, home decor, and architectural pieces. We always know we will find something unique in Kaci's wares. And probably heavy, ha. The Halles: Your one stop for dining, shopping and entertainment! Jardin de France: It's what French estate dreams are made of! Be sure to let Patrice and Gloria know we sent you. Jersey Junker: Another must-see. We've been sourcing from Mark for years. Knock on Wood: Vessels, lighting, leather sofas, you name it. Leftovers Antiques: An incredible source for more traditional pieces that are ready to live a new life in a modern home. This is where we sourced the sconces in our 'Round the Round farmhouse. LooLoo Design: Your one-stop shop for vintage bathtubs, bath fixtures, bath accessories, and more. Jill and Web Wilson are exactly the kind of people who make Round Top what it is. They are a wealth of knowledge and are without a doubt a must-see. Marburger Farm: This has been quite the scene in Round Top for years now. Basically a big party in a field of treasures. The Modern Exchange at Marburger Farm: Fresh, warm, modern goodness! Nomad Trading Co.: Love all of their industrial lighting. Preservation Co: The best collection of salvaged doors we have ever seen. Prize Home + Garden: Really stunning pieces that we've used in both our projects and our own homes. Recycling the Past: Treasures, treasures, and more treasures! Rengi Living: We've bought a lot of lighting from them and all of our marble bowls in our farmhouse are from this spot. SVO: A go-to for whenever we're in need of something with a very modern feel. Think de Sede, Willy Guhl, etc. Toll Gate Revival: Vintage Chesterfield sofas and so much more, in both Pittsburgh and Texas. One more tip: Don't forget about shipping — you'll want to make sure your treasures make it back to their new homes. In Round Top, vendors do not handle shipping for you, so you'll want to connect with a shipper when you arrive — or, better yet, before you go. Just ask around for recommendations — the vendors always have their faves to work with. Our go-to lately is Sweet P's Transport. Nick P and his team have been nothing but a pleasure. You can reach them at 630.366.9130 or sweetplogistic@gmail.com. As always, don't forget to tell them we sent you.
