OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. Here and above, 12 Days of Thompson The retail bombs just keep on coming: As we go to press, Neiman Marcus parent company Saks Fifth Avenue was discussing shuttering Neiman Marcus Downtown, while a strategic partnership was just announced between Stanley Korshak and Mitchell Stores. Stanley Korshak: There's a lot on the horizon for Crawford Brock's Stanley Korshak with the recent announcement of a partnership with Mitchell Stores, based out of Westport, Connecticut. Founded in 1958 by Ed and Norma Mitchell, the company operates eight stores including Mitchells, Richards, Wilkes Bashford, and Marios, with third- and fourth-generation family members at the helm. The 100-year-old Chicago- based Stanley Korshak brand was purchased by Caroline Rose Hunt in 1986 and relocated to Dallas and subsequently purchased by Crawford Brock in 2002. The new partnership allows Korshak to expand its inventory, technology, buying power, and services to their loyal client base. More in our May issue. NorthPark Center: Jonathan Borofsky's 1982 sculpture Five Hammering Men returns to NorthPark Center in time for the retail Mecca's 60th anniversary and Dallas Arts Month. After a sabbatical for needed conservation, the five tall, dark, and handsome workers are back in their original location in South Court, on Level One between Neiman Marcus and Dillard's. We're also excited to announce the reopening of the redesigned Eiseman stores, also celebrating 60-plus years. The three adjoining salons — Rolex, Tudor, and Eiseman Jewels — total almost 6,000 square feet. We'll share more deets as they become available. Highland Park Village: In other horologist news, Richard Mille has opened at Highland Park Village, in a portion of the former Starbucks space between Khaite and the Oscar de la Renta pop-up. This is the luxury Swiss watchmaker's first standalone Texas boutique and ninth location in the United States. The two-story space is divided into zones, providing clients a customized shopping experience. Playful touches include a pool table and racing simulator for the young and young-at-heart. Mille has always felt a connection to cinema, so the boutique also has a movie room … Up at The Conservatory on Two (be- tween Chanel and Park House and adjacent to Richard Mille), you can shop the Marni pop-up to your cool- girl heart's content. Marni creative director Francesco Risso is riding high, with Vogue having called his Spring 2025 collection his best in his nine years at the helm. For that collection, he looked back to the 1950s penchant for floral dresses and rendered the looks in cotton, tailor-made for Dallas summer. Marni chose The Conservatory for a special presentation of the runway looks and will be in residence from April 1 through the Dallas Art Fair (April 13) … Also at The Conservatory, retail maestro Brian Bolke is defining a new type of party, Tique, for the coolest-of-the-cool fashion squad to cocktail and carouse a bit (likely on Friday nights). This is a case where we might not share many more details, since if you know, you know … The Village is always hopping, but during the annual Spring Shopping Stroll Saturday, April 5, expect to see some real bunnies, just in time for Easter pics. Enjoy in-store events, food and drink tastings, and kids' face painting and balloon art … Stop by Miron Crosby to check out the newly launched Brooke Denim, their first boot crafted entirely of denim and sourced from León, Mexico — the same suppliers as many of your favorite jeans.
