dramatic alabaster pendant — an unreleased prototype by Kelly Wearstler — adds a dash of Art Deco. The elevator, often mistaken for a living-room closet until opened, is wrapped in Kelly Wearstler Crescent wallpaper, a bold pattern in ebony and gold with a glamorous, '30s-era spirit. Favorites turn up in rooms throughout the house. Abbott has several of Hunt Slonem's bunny artworks in her Houston home, and here, Slonem's fabric for Groundworks II covers a French chair in her bathroom — a charming perch for a towel. She fell in love with the tartan fabrics used by designer Alessandra Branca in a bungalow at Round Top's Red Antler, so she brought the look home, upholstering pillows and lampshades in her sunroom. In one corner of the living room, a vintage Barcelona table by Mies van der Rohe, sourced from the storied Versace estate in Miami, is flanked by a pair of Portuguese gilded chairs — an urbane contrast to the rustic charm that defines Round Top. "I love that contemporary aspect of design in a simple farmhouse," she says. And in one of the guest rooms, an alabaster pendant from CB2 casts a soft, celestial glow, reminding her of moonlit nights in the country. Antler chair from Renea Abbott's Santa Fe house.
