OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. I t looks like sculpture — which is exactly the point. Kelly We a r s t l e r h a s designed her first piano, Timbra, in collaboration with Edelweiss, the renowned British atelier that has created bespoke pianos for her interior projects for years. Handcrafted in Cambridge from natural layers of birchwood veneer, the rounded, rimless grand piano is built around wave-like contours that evoke the movement of sound itself; a six-spruce soundboard and patented welded-steel frame ensure the acoustics are as uncompromising as the form. It comes in five translucent finishes (natural, burgundy, sage green, blue, and gray), each chosen to reveal the intricate grain of the wood. Buzz showcasing The Row, Phoebe Philo, Marni, Burberry, Yohji Yamamoto, Courrèges, Simone Rocha, and Anna Sui — a world of fashion, fragrance, art, accessories, and objects, plus a charming restaurant. We'll share more next month after we ply Mr. Bolke with another cocktail or two. The Conservatory at Knox hobnobs with Sant Ambroeus restaurant, Toteme, Staud, and TWP, with more to be announced. Social: Beyond the bevy of events associated with Dallas Art Fair (see pages 64 to 79 for more information), we hope to see you at the Dec My Room's Room to Grow Luncheon on Wednesday, April 8, in the Neiman Marcus courtyard at NorthPark Center. I'll emcee the fashion show alongside Neiman's own Marjon Zabihi Henderson, so come grab a selfie with me … Thursday, April 9, get ready to shop at The Studio (rebranded from their former name — Thrift Studio), benefitting Dwell with Dignity. Can't make it to VIP preview night? You can still score objects in designed vignettes through May 9 … On Friday, April 10, we head to the Junior League of Dallas' Milestones Luncheon at the Fairmont Dallas … Friday, April 17, you'll see us back at the Hilton Anatole for the Children's Cancer Fund's 36th Annual Gala. (The Anatole is one of the few venues that can accommodate the normally sell- out crowd seated around a fashion runway with the most darling of young models). Honorary co-chairs and Cowboys greats Troy Aikman and Dak Prescott join chairs Kasey Lemkin and Bina Palnitkar (two of my favorite It-girls), pediatric cancer patients, survivors, and celebrities for an unforgettable evening that raises much-needed funds for the fight to end children's cancer … Saturday, April 18, you'll find us at the Thompson Dallas for the Aging Mind Foundation's Legacy Gala … The next week, our busy month ends with three other beloved events: galas for Côtes du Coeur and Equest on Saturday, April 25 (we love those nights when you pick an outfit for double-duty fun), and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League's Fashion Notes on Wednesday, April 29. Billy Fong Kelly Wearstler and Edelweiss collaborated on the new Timbra piano. The new location is scheduled to open in October on Knox Street at The Knox Hotel & Residences, Auberge Collection, in the most walkable of Dallas neighborhoods. Across the two floors are 11 galleries 30
