31 F or Milan Design Week 2026, Louis Vuitton returned to Palazzo Serbelloni with an exhibition that traced a line between its decorative arts heritage and contemporary design. New Objets Nomades pieces were presented alongside textiles, furniture, and home accessories, reflecting the house's continued investment in design. Louis Vuitton's Decorative Journey A key reference throughout was Pierre Legrain (1888–1929), the influential decorator and designer whose work helped define the Art Deco era. His legacy anchored the exhibition, with rare pieces from the Louis Vuitton Heritage collection displayed within a reconstructed 1920s railway carriage. Historic trunks, illustrations, and fragrance bottles offered context for the house's longstanding relationship with craftsmanship, travel and design. The exhibition unfolded across a series of richly appointed rooms. In Gabrio, a monumental Tikal rug established the palette, complemented by works from the Fortunato Depero Homage collection. Napoleonica centered on the Coiffeuse Céleste, Legrain's 1921 dressing table reissued in lacquered wood and Nomade leather, alongside graphic textiles that reinforced the room's decorative feel. Beauharnais paired Charlotte Perriand's geometric textile designs with pieces by Marc Newson, Patrick Jouin, and Cristián Mohaded, while Parini explored a more saturated palette of reds and golds through a carefully composed presentation of tableware, candles and decorative objects. In the Grand Foyer, Raw Edges' Stella Armchair offered another standout moment, turning a familiar furniture typology into a study of perception and form. Drawing on Legrain's geometric vocabulary, the project connected decorative history with contemporary craft and education. Across furniture, textiles, and objects, LV presented a broad program that covered all the bases they know exceedingly well, continuing their influence along travel, lifestyle and contemporary design.
