At the Bourse de Commerce, Cloud #07156, Fujiko Nakaya's ephemeral fog sculpture, drifted through the courtyard, dissolving the architecture into a landscape of mist and light. Madonna, Charli XCX, Kate Moss, and Austin Butler looked on as models emerged from the haze, only to disappear back into it moments later. The collection explored restraint as its most seductive gesture. "Nobody is trying to seduce you. What makes them seductive is that they do not need to," Vaccarello wrote in his show notes. That confidence echoed through abbreviated jackets, fluid tailoring, sheer knits, and muted flashes of gold. References to Tina Chow, Marguerite Duras, and The Talented Mr. Ripley reinforced a wardrobe built on quiet confidence and studied ease. SebastiAn's soundtrack heightened the atmosphere without disrupting it. In a season often driven by spectacle, Vaccarello reminded us that what remains just out of reach is often the most compelling. Wave Theory It was hot enough to forget we were in Paris. In the midst of the city's summer heatwave, Louis Vuitton Men's creative director Pharrell Paris felt like it was on fire. As temperatures pushed toward 100 degrees, in a country where AC is an infrequent luxury, Men's Fashion Week unfolded in a city transformed by the heat. The weather became an unexpected backdrop. There was mist at Saint Laurent, a breaking wave at Louis Vuitton, and barely there layers at Dries Van Noten. Celine loosened up; Willy Chavarria looked homeward. Across the week, tailoring relaxed, proportions shifted, and masculine and feminine codes moved easily between one another. The week and designers focused on movement, feel, and the transformation that clothing has on the body when worn. Five shows, five very different temperatures. Paris supplied the heat.
