I f you fancy yourself the ultimate scenestress (yes, our new word for a Preston Hollow party girl), we'll likely see you at the many soirées filling our month. We start out strong with An Evening with DocStars, presented by The Cary Council, on Thursday, November 5. Join chairs Whitney Harmon and Claire Amberson Phillips and raise a glass in honor of the 2026 recipients of Early-Stage Research Grants at UT Southwestern Medical Center — visionary investigators whose work is shaping the next breakthroughs in healthcare. On Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, we'll head to the Chefs for Farmers Main Event at Old City Park, returning for its 15th year. It's an afternoon of sampling delectable bites from some of the most Retail Reconnaissance Buzz: Where To Be Scene popular and up-and-coming restaurants, with chardonnays and pinot noirs from exceptional wineries. Then it's time for Texas Design Week Dallas, Monday through Friday, November 9 through November 13 — another fabulous week filled with salon talks, panel discussions, book signings, product launches, cocktails, and dinners with Kit Kemp; Ken Fulk; Miles Redd; Amy Astley, global editorial director Architectural Digest; Douglas Friedman; Alidad; Steven Gambrel; Dara Caponigro, editor in chief Frederic magazine; Shea McGee; Jacqueline Terrebonne, editor in chief Galerie magazine; and more. It's also time for Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas, starting with Kips Bay President's Dinner on Thursday, November 12, at Brook Hollow Golf Club. The opening-day VIP Preview takes place Friday, November 13, after which the Show House is open to the public November 14 through December 6. This year's Show House chairmen are Shelby Wagner, Jean Liu, Chad Dorsey, and vice chair Trish Sheats. Dallas beneficiaries are Dwell with Dignity and The Crystal Charity Ball. Set your GPS for 2999 Turtle Creek Boulevard. We're always up for a meal at the verdant Dallas Arboretum, so you'll find us at A Writer's Garden Symposium and Luncheon on Tuesday, November 10. The annual event — which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year — is chaired by Dorothea Meltzer and titled "Garden Bliss: Magical Abundance." Proceeds benefit the Women's Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden and A Woman's Garden. On Saturday, November 14, our science- nerd alter egos come out for Perot Museum of Nature and Science's annual fundraising event, Night at the Museum, which promises exploration and engaging experiences. The Dallas Historical Society hosts the Dallas History Makers Awards for Excellence Luncheon on Thursday, November 19, at The Fairmont Hotel. Recipients in 10 categories are selected for this honor from nominations solicited from the Dallas community. We end that week on Friday, November 20, at The Statler for The Hope Party. The evening of dinner and dancing, co-chaired by Rachel and Luke Branyan, benefits the Grant Halliburton Foundation, which promotes mental health resources for children, teens, and young adults. BF W ho needs the Internet for shopping. We prefer the cardio we get from boutique hopping — and sometimes the best gossip comes from our favorite shopkeepers. At Highland Park Village, Bulgari is poised to be your next jewelry stop. Their first standalone North Texas boutique can be found between Veronica Beard and Vacheron Constantin. See more on page 50 … We can't wait until Gucci and Louis Vuitton open their outposts in the Village. Gucci is taking the space that has been used as a pop-up (first for Oscar de la Renta, then Gabriela Hearst and, for the month of October, Armani), and LV will occupy the space that Hermès is vacating. Yes, as previously reported, Hermès continues work on its bigger digs in the former Highland Park Village Theater space. I'm hoping remnants of that movie spot will remain, so I'll be able to grab a bag — in signature orange — filled with popcorn to shop my latest splurge. Over at Preston Center, Ed and Gable Shaikh have opened their new store, aptly dubbed House of Hadleigh's. The 3,000 square-foot flagship in Preston Center brings together all the brands in one chic space: Hadleigh's Men's and Women's, Hadleigh's Bespoke, Hadleigh's Home, and Hadleigh's Field Shop. If you know me, a bucket-list item has always been an invitation to Balmoral for a shooting party. I now have one-stop shopping at House of Hadleigh's when that invite drops through my mail slot. There's simply too much to say when it comes to Knox Street. Oodles upon oodles of boutiques have opened in recent months, all leading to the debut of Knox Hotel & Residences, Auberge Collection. The hotel is now accepting reservations for stays beginning January 29, 2027. One opening where we hope to see you is Brian Bolke's The Conservatory at Knox Street, opening 11-11 at 11:11 am (see page 62). As we go to press, we finally received confirmation that the rumors were true: Aerin Lauder is opening a 1,050-square- foot store on Knox Street in December. Finally, upcoming changes at Neiman Marcus NorthPark after the recent closing of Neiman's Downtown include transforming NM Cafe on the third floor into The Zodiac Room, which opens Friday, November 20. A favorite tradition, the holiday feast, continues at NorthPark's Zodiac Room from November 20 through January 2. Also, the Downtown Bridal Salon is relocating to the lower level of the NorthPark outpost and is expected to open in early December. Make appointments now, if your nuptials are set for 2027.
