ERIC HESTER Breaking Barriers and Ground at Dress for Success Joan & Stanford Alexander Nancy Levicki A fter almost 14 years helping thousands of low-income women enter the workforce, Dress for Success Houston is finally breaking ground on a permanent home. More than 150 guests gathered at the site, along with president and co-founder Nancy Levicki, campaign co-chairs Kelli Blanton and Art Smith, and chairman of the board Becky Roberts, to celebrate the nonprofit's achievements with mimosas and Freebirds breakfast burritos. The planned LEED-certified building in the Greenway Plaza area will allow the organization to expand its programs to help even more. Staggering statistic: In less than 15 months, Dress for Success Houston has achieved the majority of its fund-raising goal. Forward-thinking: co-founder Susie Cunningham, Clare Sullivan, Eric Blumrosen, lead donors Joan and Stanford Alexander, Lauren Levicki, and Ellen Wagnon.
