Ping Sun, Nancy Allen, Anne Chao at Asia Society A rt enthusiasts Nidhika and Pershant Mehta opened the doors to the new Asia Society Texas Center for a privileged peek at the fabulous new building designed by architect Yoshio Taniguchi. Revelers enjoyed tours of the new structure, as well as a glimpse at the coming exhibitions from Asia Society Texas Center executive director Martha Blackwelder. Taking in the new view: Eddie Allen, Karina and Carlos Barbieri, Susan and Dan Boggio, Y. Ping Sun and David Leebron, and grand patroness Nancy Allen. Meanwhile, Judy and Scott Nyquist hosted a kickoff for Spotlight Asia: Cocktails & Cultural Fusions to welcome the younger set and toast the upcoming fête set for Friday, April 13. Nearly 70 host committee members gathered at the Nyquists' River Oaks home for hors d'oeuvres and champagne in anticipation of the grand opening of the new Center (April 12 –15).
