Co-chairs Jane Parker and Judy Smith Chairman and honoree Brenda Love, welcomed Judy Smith supporters for early-morning mimosas and at Stiletto bites in the shoe salon amidst Manolos, Louboutins and Kirkwoods. And then it was time to strut, the signature walk with purpose, which has ladies donning heels for an empowering sashay through Galleria One. Preceding the walk were remarks from Neiman Marcus GM Bob Devlin, as well as a poignant story of survivorship from Emily Sedgwick, a physician at the Lester and Sue Smith Breast center. After a lap or two in prepossessing pumps, ladies — and a gent or two — headed back to Neiman's for more mimosas and a style show narrated by NM's Stacey Swift and PaperCity's Holly Moore. The Mariposa in-store restaurant was reconfigured for the dinner party with one central table, appointed in red roses — a reference to the jeweler's signature act of hiding a single ruby within each jeweled piece as a gift to the wearer. The evening offered far more than mere cocktails, however: The complete Spring/Summer 2014 runway collection was flown in for the evening and the preceding day's trunk show.
