An Artful Note A rtistic savants gathered at the home of Bob Nickell for an intimate evening filled with musical news. After mixing and mingling with guests, 2014 Art Ball chairman Gina Betts announced this year's entertainment: Mellifluous John Legend will serenade guests at the May 3 gala, which benefits the Dallas Museum of Art. Guests continued to cheer as she divulged yet another scoop: the gala's theme, 1920s Paris. "I chose John Legend to perform because not only is he a phenomenal talent, but his music is reminiscent of the 1920s, with a modern twist," Betts explained.
