COME TOGETHER It was a Royal Affair at the Greer Garson Gala as guests tried their hand at casino tables, all to benefit Texas Health Resources Foundation. Cocktails flowed in the lobby before Queen's Guards ceremoniously opened the doors to the ballroom at the Omni Hotel for a feast of braised short rib and lobster couscous. Afterwards, Hard Night's Day, Dallas' top-notch Beatles cover band, had guests swinging at the "Love Me Do" dance party. The Show Goes On GREEN WITH ENVY The stars at night were big and bright — or rather, the fireworks were — at this year's TACA Lexus Party on the Green benefitting The Arts Community Alliance. Chairs Anne and Jeremy Besser and Kristen and Ladd Sanger welcomed a jovial crowd that packed the terrace for an enchanting evening at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Acclaimed Dallas chefs offered signature tastings, inviting guests to snack their way from station to station before a winning chef was announced: Abraham Salum won the Golden Skillet Award for his beer- braised oxtail roulade. Wining and dining: Denny and Connie Carreker, Laura Reeder, Diane Brierley, Becky Young, Christy Coltrin, Gina and Bob DeBeer. FRONT AND CENTER The Dallas Theater Center wowed us yet again at its annual fund-raising Centerstage fête with a showstopper of an evening, thanks to chairman Ann Hobson. The art world commingled at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which was a gorgeous sight to behold. The performance hall was transformed into a theatrical banquet set of its own with purple and orange centerpieces, bejeweled lanterns and leopard chargers, visualized and actualized by the talents at DTC. An acoustic performance by Broadway star Adam Pascal, dazzled with melodies from Rent, Aida and Memphis. Premier patrons: Jill Rowlett, Christy and Robert Furguson, Barbara Clay, Ken Bernstein, Mickie and Jeff Bragalone, and actress/comedian Ruth Buzzi. A DANCER'S DELIGHT The Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House set the scene for the celebrated dance event of the year: TITAS' Command Performance and La Fête du Ballet Gala. Art supporters came together for an evening of pirouettes and pliés at this year's 20th anniversary commemoration where two beautiful pieces were showcased in tandem: one spotlighting contemporary choreographer Jessica Lang and a second feature piece that honored the ongoing collaboration with Booker T. Washington. After the grandiose performance, co-chairs Meaders Ozarow and the Honorable Ann Margolin dined with guests in the main lobby. Mixing: Honored philanthropist of the evening Donna Wilhelm, Clint Bradley, Darin Kunz, Read Gendler, Gayle Ziaks Halperin, Barron Fletcher, Bess and Ted Enloe, and Rebecca Enloe Fletcher.
