The chic coterie stepped out of the heat and into the cool world of Versace to celebrate the newly minted D. Signature handbag — the latest member of the Versace iconic Signature bag family. As the crowd arrived for the evening fête, models dressed in the fall collection, their legs as long as Roman pillars, posed atop stationary platforms lining the gallery walls. Kenny Goss and Joyce Goss greeted and chatted, always the perfect hosts. The guests of honor, the D. Signature Versace handbags, were displayed like the art that they are — splashes of classic black, ruby red, turquoise and petroleum, juxtaposed against the stunning offerings by Nathan Green, Ben Sansbury, and Jaakko Pallasvuo. The D. moniker pays homage to the Italian fashion house's reigning queen, Donatella Versace; the abbreviation signifies the compact update of the Signature bag.
