SCHEERER GENIUS W ith his new tome hot off the press, New York designer Tom Scheerer, whose work has appeared in Elle Décor, House Beautiful and Architectural Digest, was guest of honor at the Scheerer–decorated home of Jack Swain, where he and fellow design enthusiasts Kelly Compton, Lisa Fine, and Holly Moore hosted an evening of spirits and book signing. The cheerful crowd, many donning Lisa Fine's sunny caftans and tunics (Irving & Fine), talked interiors while Scheerer — who describes his own style as relaxed modernism and is most known for his Harbour Island projects, including the redecoration of the fabled Lyford Cay Club — chatted and signed copies of his monograph.
