"My favorite thing about Uptown Park is that you can spend hours there and get so much done. You can start with shopping for apparel, home decor then head on over for happy hour, get your makeup or hair done, and then off to dinner. It's a one stop shop."—Julie Bortnick Weinstein from Prosecco to Plaid "Dining, shopping and pampering… what more could a girl ask for in one locale! Uptown Park is one of my favor- ite go-to's for everything from luxuri- ous home goods, boutiques, quick blowouts and tastes for any palette."— Alex Carreno from Adored by Alex "I love Uptown Park because it has everything a fashionable girl's heart could desire. I can get a blow out, find a great outfit, grab a glass of wine and great dinner all in one place."— Leigh Evans from Girl About Town "Shopping is fun for me and selecting the best and sharing it is exactly the purpose of my blog."—Erica Smith from Tell it to Your Neighbor "This experience was a great re- introduction to Uptown Park. There are so many new restaurants and boutiques!"—Lauren Mills from Sun- day Beach Blog Hear what our tenants, follow- ers and fashion mavens have to say about Uptown Park. MEET UPTOWN'S FASHION BLOGGER GURUS SPOTLIGHT: Q+A STARBUCKS @mich_wainwright WE OUR FOLLOWERS What made you want to start your own blow dry bar? And to go even further, why Buttercup? I realized there was a big hole in the marketplace - when we opened our first shop in 2010, nothing like Drybar existed and I real- ized women had two bad choices of either going to a full service salon and over paying or going to a discount chain where the experience was very off. At the time, I was running a mobile blowout business in LA and didn't have enough time to meet all the demand, so I went to my brother and business partner, Michael Landau to lend me the money to open an actual location where my clients could start coming to me. We had no idea it would become such a big, national business (we now have 35 shops and over 2,000 employ- ees!) Once we decided to hang our blowdryer in our logo (upside down), we felt like she needed a name, so I named her Buttercup - it just felt right! What do you think is the secret to Dry- bar's success? I believe there are a lot of reasons for our success, mainly our passion for over-the-top cus- tomer service. We work really hard to ensure a fantastic overall expe- rience from the moment you step in one of our shops to the moment you leave with bouncy, happy hair. Favorite blowout and why? Cosmo-Tai! I love natural, some what messy and not-too-done blowouts! Usually you'll find my hair somewhere between a cosmo and mai tai! You're stranded on a de- serted island and can bring only 1 Drybar beauty prod- uct – what do you bring? Hot Toddy (heat protectant and frizz fighter) to protect my hair.
