A tlanta designer Phoebe Howard is recognized as one of the foremost authorities on Southern style, catering to both clients and other members of the design community who have embraced the Mrs. Howard timeless aesthetic. Howard scours the globe for new products for her stores and clients, and creates a custom line of pillows, lamps, mirrors and case goods. She also has a furniture collection called Mr. and Mrs. Howard for Sherrill Furniture, which is available in the Charles Ray Showroom at HDC. Her work has been published in House Beautiful, Elle Decor, Veranda, Southern Living, Coastal Living, Southern Accents, Traditional Home and The New York Times, among others. Her newest book is Mrs. Howard, Room by Room: The Essentials of Decorating with Southern Style (Stewart, Tabori & Chang). Timothy Whealon is beloved for his accessible style, his seamless blend of classic and modern influences, and his skillful use of artwork and antiques, all thanks to an extensive knowledge of fine and decorative arts. His design philosophy is rooted in classicism; however, he approaches each project with a fresh 21st-century eye that makes it both modern and timeless. With a European's reverence for history, a New Yorker's need to stay on the cutting edge and a Midwesterner's sense of practicality, Whealon strives to create rooms that have a sense of harmony and comfort. He has been published in Elle Décor, House Beautiful, House and Garden, Architectural Digest, Veranda, Domino and The New York Times. His new book is In Pursuit of Beauty: The Interiors of Timothy Whealon (Rizzoli). Both designers will be featured in the 11 am keynote program presented by Heritage Texas Properties and moderated by CEO Robin Mueck: Trade Talk: Mastering Design Business Today.
