SAKS FIFTH AVENUE'S MUNIFICENT KEY TO THE CURE SHOPPING PARTY THE CAUSE + A LITTLE HISTORY Every October, Saks Fifth Avenue adopts the cancer cause nationally with a weekend-long benefit, giving back a portion of proceeds to curing cancer, especially those forms affecting women. (Millions have been raised to date.) This fall, Saks' Galleria flagship selected Memorial Hermann's Breast Care Centers as beneficiary of its Key to the Cure events, led off by a lively cocktail shopping party that raised awareness and green for the pink-ribboned crusade. A trio of femmes represented Memorial Hermann, beginning with the night's chairman, Arvia Few, alongside Memorial Hermann Foundation CEO Ileana Treviño and Memorial Hermann first lady Lori Wolterman (husband, Dan Wolterman, is Memorial Hermann Health System CEO). Miz Wolterman was joined by mom Dolores Genitempo, also clad in pink. Welcoming the brigade of ardent shoppers were Saks GM Bobby Dees with wife Wezy and his luxury retail colleagues Sylvia Forsythe and Matthew Brown. POSH PURSES + ETHAN K'S PA In from London, designer Ethan Koh personally presented a selection of his bespoke Ethan K handbags, known for their lustrous exotic skins and droll hardware inspired by the natural world. In the crowd: survivor Leisa Holland-Nelson, Carol Linn, doc Yvonne Cormier (co-chair of Memorial Hermann's recent Razzle Dazzle Luncheon), Marilu Garza, Anita Smith, Merele Yarborough, Cyndy Garza- Roberts, Cherri Carbonara, Cheryl Byington, Ann Wilde with daughter Cecile, and Tiffany Sanders, as well as dashing gents Bryce Kennard, Warren Whitehead, Lenny Matuszewski, and chair husband Jason Few. DJ Hawaii Five-O, a dessert station by Mostly Chocolate, RWB Vodka cocktails crafted by 51Fifteen Restaurant and a cigar rolling show by Leonard Hight completed the clever details.
