By Jane Rozelle. Photography Rhi Lee, John Strange. M embers of the bright young fête set love a good party theme. And we've seen few more clever than "Cactus and Clovers," this year's annual fund-raiser for Young Friends of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas — a play on the location (the Western-style restaurant and bar Chicken Scratch & The Foundry) and date of event (St. Patrick's Day). PYTs turned out in emerald hues and cowboy boots as they danced to the rustic beats of Austin–based Ray Johnston Band. Seen: chairs Kaleta Blaffer-Johnson, Perri Brighiu, and Peyton Riley; as well as Alison and Nick Mesec, Natalie Leitch, Chris Sacks, Kate Lashley, Heather Carrio, Gloria and Louis Cauf, Susan Godvin, Colin Luba, Nicole Veale, Lydia Williams, Alison Willard, Lauren Perella, Ken Henry, and Ellen and Byron Saunders. While Young Friends celebrated in cactus and clovers, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas toasted top-tier patrons at the Under the Moonlight Gala in the sleek event space Sixty Five Hundred. DJ Chicken George's jazztronica kept the crowd on the dance floor, all to help RMHD provide a home away from home for those in need. Spotted: RMHD CEO Jill Cumnock and chief development officer Diane Fullingim; chairs Lindy Berkley and Hadley Galt; honorary chairs Natalie and Drew Dossett and Nancy and Mike Kerr; special guests Blake Hyland with parents Cindy and Pat Hyland; Noelle Petty, Diane and Nick DiGiuseppe, and Christina Gray.
