Manolos on and checkbooks handy, many of the city's most philanthropic hob- nobbed at a slew of benevolent feasts. First up, Texas Discovery Gardens honored Myrna and Bob Schlegel at the 2016 Flora Award Gala, one of Dallas's most prestigious honors recognizing citizens' commitments to community service. A few weeks later, more than 1,000 patrons flocked to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science for the annual Night at the Museum Gala. The evening, chaired by Francie Moody-Dahlberg and Kevin Dahlberg, and Carmen and Thomas Surgent, was themed Elevate, offering a glimpse into the world of aerospace with guests reveling in live-bird shows, aerialists, virtual reality, drones, and floating cuisine. Finally, it was off to General Datatech's Warehouse space, transformed into a chic art gallery for the 10th annual Art for Advocacy Gala, benefitting Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. After a jam-packed live auction with works from Dallas' top local artists and galleries, soulstress Sarah Jaffe delighted with a private concert.
