OBSESSIONS. DECORATION. SALIENT FACTS. I f you've toured the storied perfume laboratories of Grasse, France, then you'll recognize the process of shopping at Le Labo. The craft fragrance company — with stores in posh places such as Hong Kong, Moscow, Dubai, and Paris — has opened its first boutique in Dallas, with a standalone downtown near The Joule hotel and Forty Five Ten on Main. (The store opened quietly after Forty Five Ten on Main debuted with its own Le Labo shop-in-shop.) Our city's discerning noses are rejoicing — and not just for the return of the discontinued Aldehyde 44, which has been revived as a Dallas exclusive. Scent shopping at Le Labo is far from getting spritzed at a department-store beauty counter — it's more akin to working inside an impeccably designed, delicious-smelling science lab. Here, nothing is pre-made: Instead, select your preferred essential-oil concentrate, and a Le Labo technician blends the final perfume on the spot, via a process similar to those used by Grasse's perfumers. The Dallas boutique offers Le Labo's full range of unisex scents, room sprays, soy-based and hand-poured candles, body lotions, shower gels, bath and massage oils, and soaps. We've long obsessed over Le Labo's Tubereuse 40 (New York), part of its City Exclusives collection of scents, which are strictly available in the city noted. Christina Geyer Lovely LABORATORY F rom Rosé Gummy Bears to 24K Gold Swizzle Sticks and Parisian Pineapples, there's no shortage of stylishly named delights at new candy boutique Sugarfina in NorthPark Center. With a flagship store on Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills, Sugarfina boutiques are packed with more than 150 confections, including top-shelf international candies, such as divine Kyoto Blossoms from Japan — the SWEET Elite more unusual, the better. India Pougher H arry Winston debuted the HW logo, an emerald shape recalling Mr. Winston's preferred diamond cut, more than 50 years ago. Now, the iconic seal is the inspiration for the house's latest collection, HW Logo, designed to be worn alone or stacked. The rings, bangles, and pendant necklaces in 18K white, yellow, and rose gold are incised with the HW logo and pricked with round brilliant diamonds. Anne Lee Phillips WILD ABOUT HARRY Le Labo Dallas Sugarfina at NorthPark Center I f anyone has mastered the art of walking the line between feminine frill a n d t h o u g h t f u l sophistication, it's New Zealand-born designer, Rebecca Taylor. Take her Spring 2017 collection, for example. Floral- print silk maxi dresses, ruffled lace blouses, and even a pair of wide-legged overalls don't seem overtly Girls These Days girly — rather, they feel smart in a nonchalant way. This month, Taylor moves into Dallas, with her first Texas boutique at NorthPark Center, on Level One between Tory Sport and Origins. The store will house Taylor's full collection of ready-to-wear, plus La Vie, the recently launched casualwear and denim. Designed in collaboration director of visual merchandising Erin Ryder, the interior is a nod to art and architecture, with a crystallized salt-rock and cement wall by Brooklyn artist and designer Fernando Mastrangelo, and wallpaper designed by illustrator and artist Wayne Pate.
