N o matter the season, we could stay locked up inside the gorgeous fur closet at Fendi in Highland Park Village for- ever. Our fi rst peek at the stunning new store came by way of a high-energy opening party. No surprise: The most popular place for champagne-fueled gossip, fashion gazing, and shopping was said closet, a glamorous nook tucked in the back of the store, with rack after sumptuous rack of the Italian fashion house's fi nest fuzzies. The store itself was packed to the brim with socials, style makers, and moguls. Here's our Fendi Four: Our top notes from the evening, one of the hottest invites of the season. We're told the opening party raised unparalleled funds for the Dallas Museum of Art, due to the incred- ible amount of shopping that evening, as a portion of sales benefi tted our beloved museum. Of course, when DMA Art Ball chair Ann Hobson packs the store with her most fashionable friends — plus Fendi VIPs Gaetano Sciuto, Janet Walzer, Courtney Smith, and Gabriella Moncada de Paterono, and Dallas manager Natalie Lo — we expected no less. Everyone looks divine in Fendi. Amy Havins was a vision in red — a color she says she rarely wears; Tina Craig, a colorful sight, was the envy of many with her devilish little Fendi monster clutch; Krystal Schlegel in a fl irty copper dress, straying from her normal black-and-white palette; and Jane Aldridge opted for Fendi's spin on the LBD, paired with neon- pink stilettos. In keeping with the night's museum theme, Fendi fl ew in dozens of one-of-a-kind Peekaboo bags, displayed in pretty acrylic cases, designed by Adele, Anna Dello Russo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevingne, and the late Zaha Hadid, among others. "This is the fi rst time they've all been displayed in the same place," Fendi PR director Christina McDonald exclaimed. A coup for the Dallas store, to be sure. Aperol spritzes and Veuve! That perfect cocktail combo kept the party going well af- ter its end-time. Guests arrived, settled in for the night, and spilled out onto what became an impromptu Fendi piazza.
