ART IN BLOOM The Dallas Museum of Art became a colorful fl ower centerpiece for the annual Art in Bloom Symposium and Luncheon. Keynote speaker and renowned fl ower master René van Rems showcased eight fl oral works of art that he'd created, inspired by art from the DMA's permanent collection. We were wild about van Rems' white-hydrangea masterpiece, which took its lead from Gustave Courbet's A Fox in the Snow. APPETITE FOR ADVOCACY "All I can do to say thank you is to pay it forward," said Philadelphia Eagles' Jon Dorenbos, who served as keynote speaker for this year's Appetite for Advocacy Luncheon benefi tting Dallas Children's Advocacy Center. MAD FOR MAD HATTER'S This year's Mad Hatter's Tea Party transported us Under the Tuscan Sun, no airfare required. The de rigueur headgear incorporated everything from parakeets and goldfi sh to wine boxes and iPads. Hollywood fashion designer/stylist Rachel Zoe was guest of honor, courtesy of Tootsies, which has the exclusive on her collection. "This is an unbelievable, pinch- myself moment," she said. "I can't believe what I'm looking at. I'm going back to L.A. and talking about this forever." Zoe breezed into town with her husband Rodger Berman for the festivities and to unveil her newest collection at a pre-lunch fashion show.
