E ast decidedly meets West at the Renaissance Dallas, from the Asian-fusion cuisine at Oma restaurant to the decorative pillows stitched with "cowboy" and "samurai" on every bed. The 15-story hotel in Plano's massive new Legacy West development is one of the city's tallest buildings, at least until the nearby Windrose Tower high-rise tops out as Plano's first skyscraper in Fall 2019. The Renaissance stuns with Texas limestone columns and a glossy marble floor in the foyer; reception stations made of reclaimed metal from a water tower in North Collin County; branding OMNI FRISCO HOTEL AT THE STAR I f it's true that you are the company you keep, the Omni Frisco is poised to be a glamorous gridiron destination. After all, its next-door neighbor is the Ford Center at The Star — the Dallas Cowboys' new state-of-the-art world headquarters — and wide receiver Dez Bryant has already been spotted in an Omni elevator. The 300-room, 16-story hotel, designed by Gensler and Wilson Associates, fully embraces America's Team: Archived offense and defense photos bookend the hallways on each floor; stars are emblazoned on guest blankets; and memorabilia fills Neighborhood Services, the hotel's restaurant. (This is the second Neighborhood Services location for chef and restaurateur Nick Badovinus, who also operates Dallas restaurants including Town Hearth and Montlake Cut.) Fashion and football coalesce at the Charlotte Jones Collection boutique, located on the first floor near reception, with clothing, jewelry, and gifts curated by Cowboys executive VP and chief brand officer Charlotte Jones Anderson; look for Paige Denim, Peter Millar menswear, Edie Parker clutches, Sugarfina candies, Hublot watches, and Kendra Scott baubles, plus cool Cowboys merch, Texas-themed artwork, and two kid-sized Ford cars swathed in Swarovski crystals. 11 Cowboys Way, Frisco, 469.287.0000, omnihotels.com. Art is stationed throughout the hotel, including a half-moon chandelier and a Korean wall artwork in the entry, both paying homage to the hotel's owner, Dallas-based Sam Moon Group. 6007 Legacy Dr., Plano, 469.925.1800, marriott.com.
