Bespoke HTX offers handmade goods created by Texas artisans; husband-and-wife owners Morgan and Andy Sommer compare it to a brick-and-mortar Etsy, with more than 100 local vendors. Gypsy Wagon, a contemporary- style general store that originated in D oris Metropolitan, with an in-house b u t c h e r y a n d authentic Israeli side items, opens in the former Triniti restaurant space at 2815 Shepherd, at the end of the year. The new concept from partners Itai Ben Eli, Dori Rebi Chia, and Itamar Levy offers dry-aged Prime beef and Japanese wagyu … Veteran Dallas restaurateur Shannon Wynne and partners Keith Schlabs and Larry Richardson will open Rodeo Goat in Houston's EaDo at 2118 Lamar Street in mid-November. The burger palace is known for its zany menu of more than 20 burgers, made with grass-fed beef from 44 Texas farms and topped with everything from queso fresco to corn chips. The location will have a 4,000-square- foot patio … Also in EaDo, chef Ryan Pera, Morgan Weber, and Vincent Huynh (aka Agricole Hospitality) are developing three new dining experiences that celebrate their cultural heritage, at 1201 St. Emanuel. In January, Indianola opens, its name inspired by the town that welcomed a large portion of European immigrants to Texas almost 200 years ago. Indianola presents a European-inspired menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Serving as the restaurant bar is Miss Carousel, a 5,000-square-foot bar and lounge with fireplace. The third concept is named after partner Vincent Huynh: Vinny's Pizzeria, serving New York and Chicago style pizzas — offering single slices and delivery, and a 50-seat counter for dine-in … Melange Creperie's brick-and-mortar creperie is open at 711 Heights Boulevard. Owners "Buffalo" Sean Carroll and Tish Ochoa, after years of cart- operated creperies, now have a permanent home … Pokeworks, the chain's first location in Texas, at 213 Heights Boulevard, serves up poke burrito with rice and toasted seaweed … Snooze is cooking up two more breakfast destinations in the Houston area: one open now at LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch in Katy, the other opening by the end of the year at Lowell Street Market in the Heights. These two locations join the original Snooze at 3217 Montrose, best known for extravagant pancakes and lines out the door. Meghan West Dallas (other locations in Austin and Crested Butte), brings its vintage furniture, handmade jewelry, and clothing to Heights Mercantile. Saint Lo Boutique, owned by husband-and- wife team Skye and Lindsay Vila, carries womenswear, accessories, and their own label as well. Oregon-based Will Leather Goods is Will Adler's first store in Texas, stocking all manner of leather goods fashioned in vegetable- tanned bridal leather, sturdy cotton canvas, and waxed canvas — look for duffels, totes, messengers, backpacks and satchels, as well as Indian Kantha bags made of vintage sari-scrap quilts, and Oaxacan bags made of handsome hand-loomed wool rugs. Meghan West Restaurant BUZZ Retail RAP S ixty is a milestone — especially in the firmament of art galleries, where trends and isms abound. One of Texas' most iconic dealers, Meredith Long, marks six decades as one of the grand champions of American art. This month, an exhibition celebrates the anniversary with some of the heroes of modern and contemporary art from the Meredith Long & Company stable, including Sarah Lamb, Stephen Hannock, and Rachel Hovnanian (who all created works for the occasion), and Kenneth Noland, alongside such 19th-century masters as landscape painter George Inness, a touchstone of the gallery. Also in the exhibition are Long's trove of sporting artists, including the late Texas trio Jack Cowan, Herb Booth, and Al Barnes, who played forward the legacy of Winslow Homer.
